Peace and love! I’m loving it but can we please get back the ability to, while a file is selected in the browser be able to hit the left arrow and have the selection jump up to the folder the file is in and a second click will close it up? Now while scrolling through I have to reach for the mouse more often to click on the folder then hit back arrow or just push the up arrow and wait while it goes back up the whole list til it gets to the folder then the back arrow to close. Much love and great job with everything!

Do you test in Microsoft Windows? I have Reason 12 and the preferences window opens to be larger than my screen. The window doesn’t have any scroll options so I can access the bottom of the settings.

I worked for a major music store and almost none of my customers read their manuals . This is such an important point made at the end . And the Reason manual is superb.

What other company has the actual product manager in a video explaining this stuff ?

Reason Studios knows how to communicate with its user base!

Still no essential MIDI re-routing capabilities in 13. So I can't play any of my VST arps or Scaler. Which is why I picked up Ableton in the first place. Now we get this clunkier than ever interface with some afterthought new devices. Time to cancel the old $30 a months subscription and move full time to Ableton.

Ive been using reason for 14 years. I love reason for creating, the colors n design make it the funnest to look at out of all the daws. When it comes to editing tho and workflow it’s definitely behind. (Ableton being the example) I firmly believe if reason fixes this issue then it’ll be the top daw

I won't upgrade a VST for $200. Nothing significant is being added for users no longer using the DAW, the new devices for the VST can all be replaced with stock devices from other DAWs. The modulation and routing offered by using the cables is obsolete. Reason is trying to milk customers with this upgrade or by joining a subscription model. For the price, I would recommend getting any other DAW that cares for their users, even if it is as a glorified VST plugin. I think if you offered reason devices only as VST more people would use Object or Parsec. I.E. The 20% discount currently for old users is a slap in the face. Reason needs to get things together if they want to remain somewhat relevant. This video currently has only 8k views and 215 likes vs 150 dislikes from 202k subscribers is looking bad.

New browser is nice, the rest of the software is plain broken, can't get to record anything. What used to be great until one or two versions ago is now completely broken. MIDI clock is now completely off, my external synths and devices are now completely out of sync, the timeline got unusable, the whole thing just got too greedy in features....just a big waste of what used to be the greatest piece of music software out there. They just lost it in useless marketing stuff. Last time I spend for the upgrade for sure, I'll forget I have it in 20 days!

SO it's basically the advanced stretch modes of the sequencer , the filter and drive +comp of Europa and the grainmode of grains + some slicing All of this could easily be added as an update to grain . What bothers me about reasonstudios of late ,is that they never do any feature updates of older instruments , instead they bring new instruments to lure in new users .

It looks cool, but I believe it is on the expensive side for what it offers compared to other DAWS. That’s not to say that it is a bad product, on the contrary, it looks super cool. I just don’t think the price is commensurate to what you get.

I would hate to uninstall my r11 suite. Would you you guys please specify an announcement regarding the update that fixes the bug of not being able to have both versions on the same machine? Please. I will upgrade when that update happens. Thx.

This is great. I'd love to see more behind-the-scenes building tracks with different styles of music. Maybe mixing guitar and Reason instruments.

I love Reason but I'll probably skip this upgrade because I can't see any real improvements in compare to version 12.7.
